As much as I LOVE to thrift shop I do not get the chance very often. So I try to make the best of it when I am able to go. I was thrilled to find that a Salvation Army thrift store opened near my church and yesterday after mass I dropped in to see what goodies they have waiting for me. These little gems were so happy to come home with me~
The store is not very big & when I was making my final go round I spotted this little beauty! It is a DVF bag in really great condition. A few years back when I had an Ebay store I sold one a tad bit bigger than this for $74.00. I paid $6.99 for this beauty & once I clean her up she will look like new~
This size bag now sells for approx. $65.00-$100.00 not bad I say~
I LOVE*LOVE*LOVE to read & I read at least 3 to 4 books a month but, I only read in bed & I do not do heavy reading, just funny, romantic or historical stories but my favorite are religiuos books i.e scripture, saints, popes, the bible is my most favorite. The world has enough drama that I hear about daily so when I go to sleep I want to think of nice things. This book looked like it would be a good read & it was only $.99~
These 2 plaques are soooo old school but I needed something thin to fit in some tight spots in our living room & I think these will fit the bill~
Once I give them another hue (not sure of the color) I know they will look so much better & maybe not so plastic-ie (a new word Websters is sure to pick up)~
I paid this huge amount $2.99 probably because they are sooo old school & plastic~
Isn't this a beauty? I actually found this at GW it is so heavy as it is 100% iron. I love the shape! I removed the backing gave it a coat of primer and some chalkboard paint & now it sits in our kitchen counter top to announce dinner time~
I paid a lot more than I normally would $5.99 for a frame but I was so in love with it, it was coming home with me~
This pretty green jug was found at Marshall's for a mere $3.50 I bought it for a vignette for St. Patrick's Day that I have yet to do~
Marshall's is another store I love to shop but don't have the opportunity to go very often either~
My favorite store is Hobby Lobby, they have the best sales & I try to visit this store at least twice a month if I am lucky. Last week was my lucky week! I have been eyeing laterens and they were not in my budget even at half off so when my very keen eyes spotted these I grabbed them up at ONLY $7.40 each~
They were so inexpensive because the glass from the back panel was missing, but that did not detour me because I know my very handy & talented husband could cut some plexi glass to fit that panel perfectly~
I paid a mere $.10 for this little beauty & I know what I will be using it on in the fall! Can you guess? Here is a hint: It is big, round & normally orange~
I am happy for two things first because Salvation Army opened a store near my church & second that I have the opportunity after mass to shop!!
Have you found any Fine Thrifty Finds?
